What Onterion is
Onterion is a software studio with a narrow, deliberate focus: operational software for small and mid-sized businesses. Not marketing sites, not consumer apps — the systems that run daily operations: process automation, document pipelines, workforce scheduling and the web applications that hold it all together.
The studio is founded and led by Serkan Parlak, who remains the direct point of contact on every project — from the first conversation through go-live and operations. No account managers, no hand-offs, no telephone chains: the person who scopes your project is the person responsible for delivering it.
Why fixed price
The dominant model in custom software — open-ended day rates — puts all the risk on the client. We think that's backwards. If anyone can judge how long a system takes to build, it's the people building it. So we do the estimation work up front, put a binding price in writing, and carry the risk of being wrong ourselves. How we think about AI
We are enthusiastic about what modern AI can do in operations — and allergic to hype. AI earns its place in a system when it removes real work reliably: reading documents, triaging messages, proposing schedules, drafting routine communication. It doesn't earn its place by being a chatbot bolted onto a process that's broken underneath. Sometimes the honest answer in a discovery call is that you don't need AI at all — you need a decent database and two clean interfaces. We'll tell you that, too.
Engineered in Germany
Onterion is based in Essen, in Germany's Ruhr region. That shapes how we build: GDPR is an architectural default rather than a compliance afterthought, EU data residency is available on every project, and documentation is treated as part of the product. Our German-language site is at onterion-ai.de; international projects run in English, remote-first, with clear written communication.
